It was a difficult process, and Letitia is now home recuperating with the help of her family and doctors.

We’ve modified our production schedule to allow her the healing time that she requires, but we have a limit on what Shuri can accomplish without us!

“We want to also thank Letitia because of all she is doing to get back on the set. We understand how much Letitia love this role and how difficult it was for her. And how hard she works to make sure she gets home as soon as possible.

According to Wright’s representative, and Marvel’s parent company Disney, production was stopped in November. However it has been resumed.

BBC News spoke with Wright’s spokesperson, saying: “Filming resumed as scheduled this month and we are on track.”
