Piers Morgan announced that he will be leaving his ITV program Life Stories.

On Thursday, the host revealed via tweet that Kate Garraway (his former colleague from Good Morning Britain) will assume control of the show.

Seven months ago, Morgan quit GMB following controversially criticizing the Duchess.

Life Stories was the last ITV show he had left. He is now moving to be the host of a global television show, which will air on Fox News Media’s Rupert Murdoch-owned News Corp.

“I’m quitting Life Stories after 12 years and 100 shows,” he posted of the programme, which has also featured Captain Sir Tom Moore, Katie Price, Sir Richard Branson and Sir Keir Starmer.

“My final show will be my wonderful friend Kate Garraway and she will then present the remaining three planned shows of the next series as I leave ITV to host my new global daily show. It has been great!”

Morgan made a big stir in March by leaving Good Morning Britain and storming away. This was after a dispute over remarks he had made regarding the Duchess.

Ofcom, the media regulator received 58,000 complaints regarding Morgan’s comment that he didn’t “believe a word” Meghan said to Oprah Winfrey in an interview about her mental state.

Ofcom did not approve ITV. Morgan said it was ridiculous that he was losing his job. The ruling was also a victory for free speech.

New talkTV shows will be broadcast by the presenter on Fox Nation USA, Sky News Australia, and talkTV UK.

ITV spokesperson said that Piers had provided over 100 compelling, engaging and insightful Life Stories during the past twelve years. His interviewees included some of the most prominent names in business, politics, and showbiz.

“We wish him every success in all his future endeavors.” Kate is a great journalist and an inquisitive interviewer. We look forward to seeing her three shows.”

Garraway recently shared the story of her husband’s battle against coronavirus. She said that she is looking forward to taking control.

It’s an enormous job, she explained, but it’s something that I enjoy.

“Everybody has a story, and the best thing about the show is the opportunity to explore the lives of the guests that viewers may not have known about.

It also gives us the chance to hear what they have to say about certain things (both good or bad).
